Sourav Ganguly, one of the finest captain of Indian Cricket Team is celebrating his 39th birthday today. He is famously called as Dhada and touted to be most courageous captain of Indian Team. He was born on 8th July in the year 1972 in Kolkata, West Bengal.
Sourav Ganguly, who is an iconic figure in Bengal, took off his shirt at the balcony of Lords to celebrate India’s win during the final of Natwest Series in 2002 in England. And, it has become an iconic image in the history of cricket. This Bengal Tiger always silence his critics with his bat and recent IPL Edition proves it. After being spurned at the auction initially and then finally got a chance in Pune Warrior team. He played a match-winning runs on the board for his team and silenced his critics.
Though, Sourav Ganguly retired from International Cricket, he is still in the limelight with IPL. And also, recently he was appointed as the vice-chairman of the reconstituted council. On the other hand, he is also hosting the Bengala version of Television famous game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
